This game asks you to complete races and obstacles in the middle of an incredibly crowded city street. As with most smartphone driving games, you turn your phone left and right to steer while pressing down on onscreen pedals to start and stop. Dr. Driving’s controls are on a makeshift dashboard, which makes them a little less distracting than its competition. That’s the best part of the game’s graphics, however. The cars and characters in the game are incredibly boxy and might give you an impression they were designed for a SNES game. Thankfully, the game’s controls and menus are easy to use and responsive. Though you can play multiple missions and earn rewards in the game without signing in, you need an account to play in the game’s multiplayer mode. You can sign in through Facebook or Google+ to earn bonuses and share your stats with friends, though.
There are certainly more polished driving simulators, but this one is loaded with challenges and plenty to unlock. If you love getting behind the virtual wheel, Dr. Driving has enough competition to quench your need for speed. This game won’t win over anyone who isn’t already a fan of driving games, though.
